The Kepler College of Astrological Arts and Sciences is astrology's dream of it's own four-year, Liberal Arts College. It is a non-profit organization, centered in Seattle, WA, and plans to open it's campus in the area in the next few years.
Kepler is based upon an Integrated Studies program, allowing maximum interrelatedness of the Arts, Sciences and Humanities that are widely recognized as essential to the scholarly study of astrology. The Instructional Design allows for maximum flexibility in the design of one's own curriculum, allowing for Life Experience Credit, Internship and other creative endeavors.
All curricular planning up to this point is consistent with the requirements of the State of Washington Higher Education Co-Ordinating Board, and the NorthWest Association of Schools and Colleges guidelines for regional accreditation.
Kepler students will study the Liberal Arts in an environment that values interrelatedness, non-mechanistic thinking, and astrology as a viable model of human experience, woven into the fabric of every section of the program. They will learn the history of astrology, proper application of statistics and the mythology of societies past and present. They will learn how to weigh alternatives and think on one's feet. And how to logically apply the astrological system of their choice.
Kepler graduates may or may not choose a career in astrology. The Liberal Arts degree is widely respected in society as a symbol of a well rounded education.
While present plans are for a resident program (no correspondence program), the Kepler Instructional Design will be available for extension programs or affiliated schools.
It appears that a graduate program is astrology may be available sooner than the undergraduate program.
Once open, Kepler College will qualify for a variety of grants, public and private. It is the intention to make some of this money available to the scholars in the community for educational and other research.
Scholars, professional astrologers and others are invited and encouraged to participate in this historic project. The present Administrative Staff have made tremendous legal accomplishments, but are NOT the faculty or curricular authority. The success of this school depends upon the scholars of this community.
