Extrovert and boisterous child until Prince Albert's death, after which her mother's grief and reliance on her turned her into a shy, withdrawn and awkward girl.

COMMENTS:

Her sons, Leopold and Maurice were both Haemophiliacs and her daughter Ena was also a carrier of the gene.
